I feel a bit bad after a negotiation because it wont go on

So i have a Software Engineering Company and i was asked by another company to develop some sort of Software for them but after several meetings, mails, presentations, phone calls and more stuff my partners and myself felt they were trying to trick us, some sort of dishonesty is what we felt was going on, we talked to a lawyer and he thought there was something shady there too he recommended us another way of negotiation which they didn't accept, when we talked about the contract, the contract that was sent to us had things changed by them, the only things that weren't on place was the stuff that affected us, they always added more stuff to the software even tho we had previously agreed on what was going to be done and some bit of more problems, the problem here is that it is a start up, they had just like got their first client, they made a due date with them (i don't know why) and we cant deliver and we also think that something shady is going on, so we for sure don't want to work with them but i feel a bit bad cause maybe they wont make it on time, should i?As a context they were giving us some shares in that company, we had some doubts there but they didn't answered them correctly, they didn't have any money so the risk is very big, the software they were asking for is pretty big and very hard via /r/business https://ift.tt/2tPMcx3
