17 Year Old Starting Neighborhood Business

First off, I know this has probably been done before but this is my first attempt at sorta starting my own business and I would love to hear your thoughts and anything that you think could help me along my way. Why: Most of you know the jobs available to you as a High-school student, the usual Fast-Food, Retail, and Grocery. Well guess what, I'm tired of the shitty work, shitty hours and shitty money(Oh boy do I have a life ahead of me). I have the capability of being my own boss so why shouldn't I go out and try? What: Car Washing ($20 Exterior/Interior per car) Lawn Mowing ($20 per lawn) Dog Walking ($10 daily) Dog-Sitting (??)(Situational) Baby-Sitting ($15 per hr)(Varies) Taking out/putting away trashcans ($15 weekly) How: Now you may not need every single one of those services but how many of you would buy maybe 1 or 2? Let's do some math.So I was previously making $11/hr about 25hr per week which comes out to around $1000/month after taxes. The average for a high school student worker. Now let's say I am able to get a couple loyal clients with differing services needed.10 need their lawns mowed every 2 weeks. ( $400/month)2 need their dogs walked 3 days a week. ( $240/month)5 need their trash-cans taken in and out every week. ( $300/mo)1 needs 12 hrs of babysitting a week ( $720/mo)10 need a full car wash. ( $200/mo)That comes out to about $1,800/month and I even tried to choose imo a small client sample. Considering I live in an average city population of 100,000 and it consists mainly of suburbs with average income I think I'd be easily be able to get more clients than that.Getting the Clients: Simply make a shit ton of professional looking fliers including a little bit about me, the services I can provide, hours available, and how can you contact me. Walk around the neighborhoods and put them on each doorstep. I'll also provide a money back guarantee if they aren't satisfied with the work.Final Thoughts: I just thought of this idea today, so I know for sure theirs something I might've missed or just forgot to add. Once I attempt to start this business I'll be sure to let you guys in on an update after my first month of any issues, problems, improvements, and etc. Thanks for your time! via /r/business https://ift.tt/2QfhuH6
